    Carrara 8.5 erscheint gegen Ende des Sommers, lt. derzeitgen Planungen erscheint dann Carrara 9 im 4. Quartal dieses Jahres oder im 1. des nächsten Jahres.


    Carrara 8.5 wird enthalten:
    - Windows 8 und OSX 10.8
    - Unterstützung für DSON
    - Unterstützung für Metadaten (Content Management Service)
    - Neue Animationswerkzeuge (Verbesserungen bzgl. Keyframe-Werkzeug, Glättung, Abstimmung aller Keyframes etc.)
    - Verbesserungen beim Graph-Editor
    - Verbesserungen für Avatare im Ansichtsfenster (Lichtquellen – Spotlight, Sonne, Mond etc., Kameras – konisch, isometrisch etc.)
    - Verbesserte Bullet-Animation für Soft Bodies (verformbare Körper)
