Ich hatte ja hier im Forum schon mal die Frage gestellt und habe sie jetzt dem Support gestellt wohin denn die Einblauung von neu installiertem Content hin verschwunden ist.

Thank you for your patience. The removal of the blue highlight in 4.9 is by design. It was removed because it is a very system intensive, and it turned out to not be consistently accurate.

One option, as mentioned in the forums, is to use the Smart Content> Sort By Install Date: Recent First option.
Additionally, Grouping can be used, and allows for searching of new items in Smart Content by typing in group::new
